Deion Sanders and Colorado ride a ‘Winning Slump’ into Washington State

The Buffs have lost four in a row but, the Cougars are stuck in a six game losing streak.

So much attention has been placed on the Colorado Buffaloes that it’s easy to overlook other storylines.

We know those who predicted doom and gloom for the Buffs have celebrated this recent losing streak.

I would argue that Colorado, in many ways, has looked as good or better in their last three games as they did in their opening three wins. This team has grown from September on both sides of the ball.. They just haven’t put together four quarters consecutively.

It’s clear they’re coming together and look to be a squad ready to win. But, they’re running out of time, and they wrap up the season with two very difficult road tests.

“I’m in a winning slump, I’m not in a life slump” said Deion Sanders. “You know I love to win, my cologne is called Win. But we’re going through a patch right now where we are learning how to [win] and as long as there’s progress, I’m good.”

The good news for Colorado fans is that Washington State has been in an absolute free fall. After starting out 4-0, and ranked just outside the top 10, it’s been a disaster ever since. Keep in mind, try still have Washington to play in the Apple Cup next week.

Both teams are looking to stay alive for a postseason bowl.

The Buffs and the Cougars kickoff tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET.
