Jacob Politte announced he would be leaving Deion Sanders and the Buffs on Sunday.

The long snapper who came from Jackson State saw no game action last year. He'll re-enter the transfer portal with a total of 15 game over two years with the Tigers. Politte earned All-SWAC honors in 2022 and was part of a coverage team that allowed the fewest punt return yards in the conference.

After expressing his gratitude and saying the situation was “bittersweet”, Coach Prime responded on Twitter with his vow of confidence in Politte. “Love ya and gonna miss u my man,” Sanders wrote. “God bless u and the family. I Believe in You!”

Politte will be the second CU player to enter the portal when the window opens in two months. Tar’varish Dawson announced he would be transferring last month. Overall, Colorado is currently plus nine for transfers before the 2024 season starts.

The Buffs are In the midst of offseason strength and conditioning workouts in Boulder. It serves as a lead-up to 28 days of spring practices before the official start of Sanders' second season at the foot of the Flatirons.

Politte exits with two years of eligibility remaining on the books as a graduate transfer.
