Another rough week in the books for the Colorado Buffaloes. A trip to the Rose Bowl for a Pac-12 matchup with UCLA was less than ideal. This was a game that sought out a strong performance from a team struggling to maintain their momentum.

The evening matchup showed why the Bruins boast one of the best defenses in the conference. Shedeur Sanders and Colorado's high-flying offense was abysmal against a pass rush that harassed him all night long. A large part of that was due to the inconsistencies of the offensive line.

Now, no one wants to beat a dead horse, but at some point the Buffs have to look at other options. This was a sentiment that Colorado head coach Deion Sanders shared in his postgame press conference.

“The big picture, you get new lineman. The big picture, you go get new linemen, that's the picture, and I’m gonna paint it perfectly.” said Sanders.

Many people have looked at this quote with negativity, citing that this is something you don’t do to kids. Well, this is exactly what you say to a struggling line. This is not to say that he wants to get rid of anyone but the production just isn’t there.

Shedeur was pressured 24 times with 17 QB hits and seven sacks. When you see stats like that accompanied by the fact that they are dead last in pass protection, you have to wonder, what can be done to fix this?

People look and find the negative in Coach Prime’s words, but he’s really preparing them for real life. Sanders has always been upfront about how he feels and some of it stems from his NFL days.

In a way, he is showing the kids how it’s going to be in the NFL, or life in general. If you do not perform at the level that they want, you will be replaced. Shedeur can’t continue to endure that kind of punishment if he wants to make it to the next level. So, if there needs to be changes, they will be made.

With the Pac-12 rivalry in the rear window, the thing on everyone’s mind is, how do the Buffs win the next one and what changes are soon to come?
