Richmond finished last season 9-4 (7-1 CAA) and won a share of the CAA championship for the first time since 2015. The Spiders have made the FCS Playoffs in consecutive seasons, winning both first-round matchups in each appearance.

Richmond's 2024 schedule features an FBS matchup against Virginia, three FCS out-of-conference matchups, and eight CAA conference games.
