Dan Mullen. Herm Edwards. The head coaching faceoff made for television.

And, if by the year 2028 both are still employed by their respective schools, the University of Florida and Arizona State University, a lot of Florida fans will be treated to that high-quality TV (unless you choose to travel to Arizona, of course).

The Florida Gators and Arizona State Sun Devils have agreed to a home-and-home series in the years 2028 and 2031, the University of Florida released in a statement. The first game will take place at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, AZ, with the Sun Devils traveling to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium three years later.

This series marks the first time that the schools have faced each other in football. Arizona State is a member of the Pac-12 Conference.

The home-and-home was agreed to as a part of the University of Florida's "continued effort to achieve the Gators’ goal of playing 10 Power 5 opponents each season," according to the statement.

Florida has also added the Universities of Colorado, Miami, Texas, and Utah to future schedules as home-and-home series.

Athletic Director Scott Stricklin recently took to Twitter asking AD's across the country to give him a call in regards to a Power 5 home-and-home.

Three days later, Stricklin hinted at a home-and-home being scheduled.

Below is the Gators' future Power 5 nonconference opponents, by year.
