Kickoff Time Set for Florida's Homecoming Bout vs. Vanderbilt

The Florida Gators will kick off against the Vanderbilt Commodores at 4 p.m. ET inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Week 6.

The kickoff time for the No. 22 Florida Gators (3-1, 1-0 SEC) homecoming matchup against the Vanderbilt Commodores (2-3, 0-1 SEC) on Oct. 7 has been set for 4 p.m. ET, the Southeastern Conference announced on Monday.

The game will be aired on SEC Network.

Florida holds a 23-2-1 record versus Vanderbilt in Gainesville and shut out the Commodores, 42-0, the last time the SEC East foe traveled to The Swamp.

Sitting at 43-11-2 in the series overall, the Gators have won 30 of the last 32 meetings. The lone loss in that span came a season ago, as Florida failed to combat an inspired Vandy squad, which posted 175 yards on the ground behind the legs of Ray Davis, at FirstBank Stadium en route to a 31-24 defeat.

The Gators will attempt to reconcile the poor loss in Nashville a season ago as they play host to the sputtering Commodores with losses to Wake Forest, UNLV and Kentucky in the first month of the 2023 campaign.

Prior to the homecoming contest, the Gators will hit the road to open the heat of their SEC schedule against the Kentucky Wildcats at Kroger Field.

Florida is looking to avoid a three-game skid in the UF-UK series in Week 5 and reign victorious in its first away contest since taking down Texas A&M in College Station on Nov. 5, 2022.
