Sarasota (Fla.) Cardinal Mooney 2024 cornerback Teddy Foster Jr. announced a top three of Florida, Miami and North Carolina on Thursday afternoon, narrowing his 21-school recruitment down to a trio of contenders for his commitment.

Foster recently emerged as a target of Florida defensive backs coach Corey Raymond's, as the Gators sent the cornerback a scholarship offer on May 23. He then officially visited UF from June 16-18, following an official trip to UNC the week prior.

It is believed the Gators and Tar Heels hold an advantage in Foster's recruitment at this time, following his visits to each program. It is unclear if he will take further official visits to other schools, and Foster has yet to announce a commitment date.

Foster is one of four cornerbacks to officially visit Florida in the 2024 cycle. Like Foster, Marrero (La.) John Ehret's Wardell Mack and Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview's Jalyn Crawford remain uncommitted following their Gainesville stays, while Providence (R.I.) La Salle Academy's Justin Denson has since pledged to Michigan State.

Foster, 6-foot-2, 170 pounds, is considered the No. 65 cornerback and No. 740 overall prospect in the class of 2024 by the 247Sports composite rankings.

He has ample playing experience in the secondary and at wide receiver, having tallied 38 tackles, two interceptions and nine pass breakups defensively and 17 receptions for 242 yards and three touchdowns offensively in 2022. He broke up another six passes and forced a fumble in 2021.
