The James Madison University football program picked up their first commitment of the 2025 recruiting class this past weekend. Linebacker Chris Fileppo announced his intent to play for the Dukes via X.

"I'm thankful to announce my commitment to James Madison University," Fileppo wrote. "Thanks to my coaches and teammates for the support through this process. Go Dukes!"

Fileppo is listed as a 6'3" 210-pounder for La Salle College High School, located outside of Philadelphia. He played outside linebacker and strong safety for the Explorers. In 2023 as a junior, he totaled 62 tackles, one interception and seven passes defended. He has yet to receive a star rankings from national recruiting services 247Sports and On3.

The Dukes are currently preparing for their first season under new head coach Bob Chesney in 2024.

Early Signing Day for Class of 2025 recruits is set for December 4, 2024.
