RECRUITING: 3-Star Michigan Edge Rusher Commits To Toledo
It's been a strong recruiting week for the Toledo Rockets. A few days after getting a commitment from Ohio 2025 recruit Maddox Arnold, Toledo has their sixth commitment of their 2025 class.
Three-star edge rusher John Baker of Detroit's Cass Technical High School announced his commitment to the Rockets on Tuesday. 247Sports has Baker listed as a 6'6" 215-pound prospect. He's Toledo's fifth three-star recruit of the 2025 class.

Baker chose Toledo over offers from 13 Division I schools, including Power 4 offers from West Virginia, Louisville, and Kentucky. 247Sports has Baker listed as the #79 overall edge rusher in the 2025 class and the #26 recruit in the state of Michigan.
Baker has something of a football lineage as the grandson of a former NFL and CFL player, also named John Baker, in the 1960s and 1970s.
Early Signing Day for 2025 recruits is December 4, 2024.
