College basketball expert says Kentucky can win six games in March

This college basketball expert believes the Wildcats can make a run in the NCAA Tournament.

We are at the point of the college basketball season where it is time to start talking about which teams can get hot or stay hot and make a run in the NCAA Tournament.

A hot pick to be one of those teams among national media is the Kentucky Wildcats. There is no question that this team has had its struggles on the defensive side of the floor, but the offense is the best in college hoops.

If this team can just play a little bit of defense in the postseason and continue to shoot the basketball well, they can make a run in the NCAA Tournament. But the Wildcats are one tough offensive day away from an early exit if they don't defend a little harder when the March Madness lights come on.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports has this to say about Kentucky's outlook in March, "Kentucky will enter the NCAA Tournament as the team that has the highest ceiling in the sport when you think about their offensive capabilities, and the irony to me is this: John Calipari has always been a defensive-minded coach, and now he has this juggernaut offensively. Kentucky has won at Mississippi State and Auburn. If Kentucky can win Saturday, it is all you need to know that they can win six games in March."

There is no question this Kentucky team is capable of making a run in the tournament, and players like Antonio Reeves, Reed Sheppard, Rob Dillingham, and DJ Wagner are made for March. Guard play wins basketball games in the NCAA Tournament, and Kentucky has one of the best backcourts in the sport.
