The Kentucky Wildcats are holding steady in the KenPom ratings.

UK is now sitting at No. 18 after a 96-70 win over the Illinois State Redbirds.

Here are some notable stats the Wildcats are really strong or weak in nationally:

Offense

Effective FG %: 58.2 (No. 8)

Turnover %: 12.6 (No. 4)

Off. Reb. %: 27.9 (No. 232)

3P%: 41.6 (No. 3)

Point Distribution, 3-Pointers: 34.9% (No. 73)

Defense

Avg. Poss. Length: 17.4 (No. 210)

Block %: 16.0 (No. 10)

Steal %: 12.0 (No. 45)

3PA/FGA (What percentage of opponent shots are 3-pointers): 42.9% (No. 321)

A/FGM (Assist percentage): 54.2 (No. 268)

Point Distribution, 3-Pointers: 34.4 (No. 59)

Personnel

Bench Minutes %: 29.6 (No. 234)

2-Foul Participation %: 12.0 (No. 256)

Notes:

Kentucky had a 100% 2-foul participation until the Penn game, where it tanked to 9.1%. It's now at 12.0%. I have no idea why this happened. It was likely an error in KenPom's system.

The Wildcats are still top 75 in 3-pointer point distribution.

They are also top 25 in adjusted tempo. A slight drop in defensive efficiency from No. 48 to No. 53. I'm starting to believe defensive efficiency won't get better for the Wildcats until they improve rebounding on defense. It's not bad right now, but UK's national rating on that side of the ball won't rise until it improves.

Bench minutes have slightly decreased.
