Kentucky Briefing: Kentucky basketball target Karter Knox will visit Kentucky in January

Kentucky will get Karter Knox on campus for a visit before he commits.

Karter Knox is a 6'5, 205-pound small forward who plays with Kentucky signee Somto Cyril for Overtime Elite.

Knox is the brother of former Kentucky basketball star Kevin Knox and is ranked as the 12th best player in the 2024 class according to 247Sports composite rankings.

It was announced that Knox will be taking a visit to Lexington on January 20th when the Cats host the Georgia Bulldogs.

It seems like Knox is closing in on a decision between Kentucky, Louisville, USF, and the G-League Ignite.

According to On3's prediction machine, the Cardinals are the front runners to land Knox with a 52.4% chance, but the Cats still have a 20% chance according to these numbers.

At the end of the day, if Coach Calipari pushes hard after Knox during this visit, there is no doubt in my mind he could pick Kentucky, but it does seem like right now, the Cats are coming from behind in this race.

The visit in January will be something to pay attention when it comes to the race to land Knox.
