Kentucky Briefing: Who will lead the Cats in scoring against New Mexico State?

Will a freshman lead the Cats in scoring against New Mexico State?

Kentucky is set to open their season as the New Mexico State Aggies will make the trip to Lexington.

The question of the day is who will lead the Cats in scoring in their first game of the season.

The easy answer would be Antonio Reeves, but some other candidates would be Tre Mitchell, DJ Wagner, and Justin Edwards.

I will go ahead and say that Mitchell will lead the Cats in scoring in this basketball game with 18 points. He will make multiple threes and add 10+ rebounds for a double-double.

The Cats are playing a good New Mexico State team, so they need to play their best basketball if they expect to start the season 1-0.

Basketball season is right around the corner, and the buzz around Lexington is through the roof.
