Kentucky target Billy Richmond posts a cryptic photo on Instagram with DJ Wagner

Could Billy Richmond's Instagram story mean a Kentucky commitment is approaching?

One of the Cat's big 2024 targets is high four-star small forward Billy Richmond.

The 6'6, 200-pound wing plays his high school ball at Camden in New Jersey, which is where DJ Wagner and Aaron Bradshaw went to high school.

Richmond put a photo on his Instagram story that said "almost there" with a countdown clock that had nine days listed.

In the photograph with Richmond is Wagner perhaps alluding to a potential Kentucky commitment.

On3's recruiting prediction machine gives the Cats a 93.8% chance to land Richmond, so the Cats are the clear favorite in the race.

A few schools like Alabama and Memphis are in the mix, but if Coach Calipari wants Richmond, he will get him, and it's pretty clear he wants him.

Richmond, to me, will be a player like Rob Dillingham in the fact that he isn't discussed all that much as a Boogie Fland or a Jayden Quaintance, like what happened with Dillingham in reference to Wagner, Justin Edwards, and Bradshaw.

But at the end of the day, Richmond will be a star in Lexington if he decides to play his college hoops for Kentucky like Dillingham did.

Richmond is a player who is ranked in the top 25 but a composite four-star. I have seen Richmond play in person, and he is no four-star. He deserves that fifth star.

Watch out because a commitment from this talented wing could be right around the corner.
