Kentucky star talks about playing in Rupp Arena one last time

Kentucky star was emotional taking the court one last time in Rupp Arena.

Senior night is always full of a ton of emotions because it usually means players who Big Blue Nation has come to know and love will no longer be with the program when the season ends.

That will be the case with Kentucky's All-American candidate Antonio Reeves, as when Kentucky beat Vanderbilt 93-77, it was the final time Wildcat fans will ever get to see the star guard take the floor in Rupp Arena.

Reeves had 20 points in this game to go with six rebounds and four assists in what was his final home game in a Kentucky uniform.

After the game, Reeves was asked about the emotions of playing on senior night and had this to say, “Definitely emotional, seeing all the fans and my family, and all the emotions came running to me as soon as I came out there. I am very appreciative and blessed to be in this position.”

Not only is Reeves Kentucky's leading scorer, but he is also a fan favorite in Lexington.

He has improved his overall game a ton this season from what we saw a year ago. Last season, Reeves was strictly a three-point shooter and a defensive liability. This season he has developed the ability to take the ball to the rim, a lethal floater, and has gotten better defensively. He has done all of this while still shooting 43.5% from three, which is even better than he shot a year ago.

Reeves will hopefully be a second-round pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, as that is where he has been going in some recent mock drafts.
