Preview: Kansas State v Oklahoma

On Saturday, the Kansas State Wildcats led by Skylar Thompson take on the 5th ranked Oklahoma Sooners and Heisman frontrunner Jalen Hurts.

This Saturday the 4-2 Kansas State Wildcats, fresh off their first Big 12 victory under new head coach Chris Klieman, take on the fifth ranked team in the country, when the undefeated Oklahoma Sooners make their way to Manhattan to do battle at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

After losing their first two Big 12 games, and looking thoroughly outmatched in the process, Kansas State rebounded to defeat the TCU Horned Frogs last weekend in Manhattan, 24-17.

Meanwhile, the Sooners have started the season much like everyone expected: undefeated and rarely challenged. Lincoln Riley looks like a bonafide stud as a head coach, and Jalen Hurts is firmly entrenched in the Heisman Trophy race.

Nonetheless, many believe that Kansas State has a chance to win the game, or at least keep it competitive. Our Keith Schnug broke down the biggest key to the game, arguing that the running backs are where the Cats will live and die on Saturday.

The defense also must be at the top of its game, as the OU offense is average 50 points a game.

This will be by far the best opponent Kansas State plays all season. It will be exciting to see how the team stacks up against one of the best teams in the country.

The game kicks off at "The Bill" at 11AM Aggieville Time, Saturday.
