Stars of 2019: Reggie Walker, Defensive End, Louisiana

Reggie Walker is sure to be one of Kansas State's most impressive players in 2019 - here, we look at the Louisiana product

With multiple commentators speculating on the quality of Kansas State's 2019 defensive line, I thought it'd be interesting to look back at the recruiting information for some of our studs along the front.

Reggie Walker has been among the most outspoken of the team, saying: “We are going to be the best defensive line in the Big 12, by far,” Walker said earlier this week at Big 12 media days. “I can say it now and speak it into existence, because we have got some dogs. We are going to be big this year.”

Walker, a former Freshman All American who was also voted pre season 1st team All Big 12 this year, is a native of Ponchatoula High school in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. In high school, he was a 3-star prospect who was the 33rd ranked Weak side Defensive End in the country in the class of 2015.

Walker was recruited by other Power 5 programs, but ultimately settled on Coach Snyder and the Wildcats. He also received offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida, and Miami, among others.

Now, at Kansas State, he's made quite a name for himself. He even has a pizza named after himself!:

Walker is going to be an NFL players. After putting in his time and working hard to be a leader at Kansas State - some team is going to be lucky to have him next April.
