Meet your 2019 Recruit - Joshua Youngblood, ATH, Florida

The high school QB and WR from Tampa, Florida signed with the Wildcats as an Athlete and will find a role with Kansas State this Fall.

As far as pure athletes go, Berkeley Prep High School's Joshua Youngblood might be the cream of the 2019 Wildcat Recruit crop.

When you watch his film, what immediately jumps out at you about the Tampa, Florida prospect is how much faster he is than everyone else on the field. And that's not just appearance - with 4.45 40 yard dash is elite level speed that will certainly play at the next level.

At only 5'11" and 170lbs, its difficult to seem him playing QB at any point in D1 football - but you could certainly see him returning kicks and punts, and playing safety or cornerback for the Wildcats.

Youngblood was a late signee, waiting until February to officially commit to Kansas State. But, the three star recruit was weighing significant offers from schools like Boston College and the Air Force Academy that certainly made it a difficult decision.

The other thing that makes you excited about the prospect of him as a safety is how smart he is. With offers from Dartmouth, Cornell and Fordham - you know he's just as talented in the classroom as he is on the field, and that's exactly what you want to see out of your field generals. Expect to hear his name often on Saturdays in Manhattan in the coming years.
