LSU vs. Oregon State Start Time, Baton Rouge Regional Updated Schedule
LSU will take on the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday night in Alex Box Stadium after both programs secured wins in their Baton Rouge Regional openers.
For the Tigers, their victory was led by Paul Skenes on the mound, who put together another masterclass showing for Jay Johnson's squad.
LSU took down Tulane 7-2 on Friday, handling business as expected, but the late game between Oregon State and Sam Houston was the headliner.
The Beavers' bats came alive early and never looked back with Oregon State toppling the Bearkats 18-2 in Alex Box Stadium.
Fast forward to Saturday and it'll be an offensive explosion between two programs that can get hot in a hurry at the plate.
LSU and Oregon State had a scheduled start time for 8pm on Saturday with the game set to be aired on ESPN2. As it stands, a weather delay during the Tulane-Sam Houston State matchup will push back the start time significantly with lightning in the area.
"Lightning within an 8-mile radius adds 30 minutes to the delay. LSU shouldn’t start after 11 p.m., per the NCAA. That would mean the Tulane-Sam Houston game would need to end by 10 p.m. because they need 55 min-1 hour between games."
Prior to the delay, Sam Houston leads 7-2. Tulane loaded the bases with two outs in the top of the 7th where we last left off.
Winner of the LSU-Oregon State game plays at 8 p.m. tomorrow. Loser will play at 2 p.m. vs. the winner of the Tulane game. That is if the games finish tonight.
