Kim Mulkey and her LSU Tigers have been on a recruiting rampage ever since she took over the program. With a stacked 2023 class that features the No. 1 player in the country, Mikaylah Williams, business is booming in this area, but Mulkey’s staff is building for the long haul.

On Wednesday, the Tigers offered an LSU legacy: Me’Arah O’Neal.

Yes, the daughter of LSU legend Shaquille O’Neal. A 2024 prospect, her recruitment has taken off as of late, and the Tigers have been pursuing her heavily.

Earlier this year, Mulkey and her staff hosted O’Neal for a visit down south. It was clear getting down to Baton Rouge was of the utmost importance for O’Neal and her family where things have begun trending in the right direction.

Accompanying her on the trip? The one and only Shaq, of course. It was a social media filled trip with [Me’Arah] O’Neal hopping in Tiktoks with LSU star Angel Reese and even being posted on LSU guard Kateri Poole’s Instagram, but Reese has certainly been having the most fun with it.

Reese posted an Instagram story of Me’Arah with the caption, “Do I stay an extra year???” when O’Neal was in town.

For O’Neal, she’s beginning to hit her stride on the floor. Just 16 years old, and clearly given significant size thanks to Shaq being her father, she’s putting it all together. She’s received a plethora of offers over the last few weeks with LSU getting in on the action as well.

Clearly the O’Neal family knows their way around Baton Rouge. With Shaquille taking the country by storm during his time at LSU, his son Shareef becoming a Tiger after transferring and now Me’Arah taking a visit to campus/earning an offer, there are obviously significant ties.

Mulkey and the Tigers will keep their foot on the gas for the Top 50 2024 prospect as she begins locking in on trimming her list of schools.
