LSU All-American forward Angel Reese is not with the program during their road trip to Hammond as the Tigers gear up for their matchup against Southeastern.

Tip-off is set for 7pm CT with Reese missing warmups and not in Friday night's starting lineup.

Kim Mulkey went with a starting lineup of: Hailey Van Lith, Last-Tear Poa, Mikaylah Williams, Aneesah Morrow and Sa'Myah Smith.

Reese's name has been in the news over the last few days with reports circling her status with the program.

On Tuesday against Kent State, Reese played in just 13 minutes after being benched for the second half of the midday game.

Now, as the Bayou Bengals gear up for their next showdown on Friday night in Hammond, Reese is not with the program for their road contest.

There has been speculation surrounding a potential "suspension", but with no confirmed news, it remains just that. Speculation.

Sources confirm to LSU Country that Mulkey will address Reese's status with the program following tonight's contest against Southeastern.

The Bigger Picture:

Coach Mulkey will return to Tangipahoa Parish where she grew up when she leads No. 7 LSU to face Southeastern Friday night at 7 p.m. CT in Hammond at the Pride Roofing University Center that is expected to be sold out.

Mulkey attended Hammond High School where she played basketball and won four state championships, going 130-6 in high school. The gymnasium that Mulkey played in at Hammond High is across the street from Pride Roofing Center. Her play there earned her a scholarship to Louisiana Tech where she won two National Championships as a player and before ultimately becoming an assistant in Ruston to launch her coaching career.

“That’s my hometown,” Coach Mulkey said. “That’s where I grew up. It’s going to be hard not to stop at places I want to eat, but I will see lots of family and friends. I see a lot of them at our games here in Baton Rouge so I probably will notice people that don’t leave Hammond and Tangipahoa Parish at the game that don’t drive over here for our games.”

LSU Country will keep you up-to-date on the latest news surrounding Reese and her status with the program.
