LSU's Angel Reese Uses NIL Deal To Show Appreciation For Teammates

The superstar forward continues to win over the Baton Rouge community, this time using an NIL deal to give back.

LSU forward Angel Reese has asserted herself as one of the top players in college basketball under Head Coach Kim Mulkey. The two fit like a glove and their chemistry is shown on a daily basis.

For Reese, the “Bayou Barbie,” her game has reached new heights since arriving in Baton Rouge. There isn’t much to say. The numbers do all the talking. 23 straight double-doubles on 23.5 points a night is remarkable. Factor in her 16 (!!) rebounds per game as well and it’s evident the type of talent Mulkey has on her hands.

But Reese isn’t letting her superstar status get to her head. She’s remained humble through the process. It was always expected a number of major brands would reach out to the LSU standout, but a recent NIL deal opened the eyes of many.

The Bayou Barbie struck a deal with one of the top fashion brands in the country: Coach.

Whether it be bags or other accessories, Reese will certainly benefit off of this, but she isn’t one to “flex” for her own personal gain. After partnering with Coach, Reese decided to do something different.

Before the Tigers faced Texas A&M, Reese decided to give her entire team Coach bags to show her appreciation for them.

The nation’s top rebounder receives significant praise, deservingly so, but she knows she can’t do it alone. A gesture of using her platform for the team’s gain is one that will go a long way for this program.

Mulkey and the Tigers have something special brewing in Baton Rouge. Led by Reese, they have catapulted their status to 23-0 with a matchup against No. 1 South Carolina inching closer and closer. The only unbeaten teams remaining, the hype surrounding the star-studded matchup continues growing.
