Final: LSU 66, Michigan 42

Fourth Quarter

LSU is pouring it on after taking a 54-35 lead with 6:55 remaining in this one. The frontcourt tandem of Reese and LaDazhia Williams have been too much for the Wolverines down the stretch.

Angel Reese continues her dominance as we enter the fourth quarter. The All-American forward is up to 21 points, 22 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 blocks and 3 steals.

End of 3Q: LSU 47, Michigan 31

Third Quarter

Tigers have found their groove here in the third quarter but the Wolverines are throwing their fair share of jabs. Tigers lead 43-31 with 1:24 remaining.

Score Update: LSU 35, Michigan 24 - 4:49 remaining

Kateri Poole takes the lid off the rim for LSU, pushing the Tigers' lead back to double digits.

7-0 run for the Wolverines as they cut the Tigers' lead to single digits. Michigan's adjustments out of halftime have been spot on but the Tigers continue to play with a sense of urgency.

Michigan comes out of the half with some serious energy after knocking down their first two shots. Tigers lead cut to 10. Timeout LSU.

End of 2Q: LSU 30, Michigan 15

Second Quarter

The Wolverines simply have no answer for Reese's size and strength inside. The All-American forward has her 30th double-double of the season with three minutes left in the half (11 points, 13 rebounds).

Reese is already up to eight points and 12 rebounds with 4:35 remaining in the half. She's been a catalyst for second chance buckets despite Michigan's size.

Score Update: LSU 23, Michigan 9

Jasmine Carson with another triple here in the second quarter. She's 3-for-5 with nine points with all of them coming in a hurry.

Angel Reese has really displayed her playmaking ability, but tonight against Michigan she's doing it early with three quick assists. Tigers get back-to-back threes from Jasmine Carson to take a nine-point lead (18-9).

End of Q1: LSU 12, Michigan 7

First Quarter

LSU has looked phenomenal defensively through the first quarter, limiting Michigan to just seven points. Offensively, it's been stagnant, relying on second chance baskets from either Reese or Williams.

Michigan goes to a 2-3 zone defense on LSU. The Tigers have struggled all season when facing a zone with the Wolverines giving them a test early. So far, it's given the Tigers fits.

Score Update: LSU 6, Michigan 4 - 5:10 remaining

Reese returns for the Tigers and immediately gets a second chance bucket for LSU.

La'Dazhia Williams gets the Tigers on the board after backing down her opponent inside. It'll be a physical matchup tonight given Michigan's significant size.

Angel Reese exits the game on the first offensive possession of the game. Appears to be a busted lip. She will return.

What To Know

- LSU took Hawaii down in the first-round on Friday, 73-50. Angel Reese had her 29th double-double of the season with 34 points, 15 rebounds, 3 steals, 3 blocks and 2 assists. She became the first player from the SEC this century with at least 30 points and 15 rebounds in an NCAA Tournament game. Her 34 points tied Marie Ferdinand’s LSU record for points in a NCAA Tournament game.

- Michigan is the only team in the nation with three player scoring over 16 a game with Leigha Brown (18.0 ppg), Laila Phelia (16.5 ppg) and Emily Kiser (16.3 ppg). Michigan is trying to reach its third straight Sweet Sixteen.
