LSU basketball was ranked No. 22 in the preseason AP Poll rankings, making it the second consecutive year the Tigers begin the season ranked in the top-25.

The Tigers are one of four teams ranked in the top-25 with Kentucky (No. 2), Florida (No. 6) and Auburn (No. 24) all joining the Tigers in the top-25.

LSU is coming off a Sweet Sixteen appearance in the 2019 NCAA Tournament, suffering an 80-63 loss to Michigan State. The Spartans come into the 2019 season ranked No. 1 in the country.

The Tigers open their season on Nov. 8 when they host Bowling Green at 7 p.m.
