For the last portion of practice of the bye week open to the media, the Tigers were outside on a blistering hot late September day, with the defense focusing on tackling in individual drills.

Among the players missing were sophomore quarterback Myles Brennan senior running back Lanard Fournette who both missed their second straight practice. Orgeron said in interviews Tuesday that Brennan would be 'ok' moving forward.

Freshman cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. was also missing during Wednesday's practice. Stingley, who recorded his first interception as a Tiger on Saturday against Vanderbilt, has started all four games and recorded 10 tackles with seven pass break ups.

Multiple injured players who missed or were injured in the Vanderbilt game, including Rashard Lawrence, Glen Logan, K'Lavon Chaisson, Michael Divinity, Justin Jefferson and Terrace Marshall all missed practice.

During individual drills, defensive coordinator Dave Aranda was working with the safeties on closing in on offensive players with the ball.

Meanwhile, coach Ed Orgeron was working with a few defensive linemen, TK McLendon and Ray Parker, who most recently made the switch to the defensive line. McLendon moved from tight end to defense after the injuries to Lawrence and Logan.
