Anytime former University of Miami football players give back to the program and school they once represented, it’s a good thing to let that information be broadcasted far and wide.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was a Miami player from 1990 through 1994. He’s often discussed his love of The U and it certainly has not waned; not one bit based on his commentary within the following tweet:

Defining what it meant to Johnson to play for Miami, here’s part of his quote from the tweet:

"And more importantly, WE had the honor of creating a brotherhood that was forged in our daily discipline ~ to outwork our competition and ALWAYS be the hardest workers in the room. Lifers."

Since giving up football, Johnson's careers as a professional wrestler and actor have made him an international icon.

Just playing in the Fast & Furious film series – in which Johnson debuted in Fast Five (2011) – would have made the former Hurricane a movie star. He’s played in more films within that series, plus several others like Hercules (2014) and San Andreas (2015) among many other primary roles.

As for the locker room, Good for Johnson and good for Miami, as the star gave back to the place that helped to create the personality that's shined in wrestling rings and on movie theatre screens across the world.
