Miami's Javion Cohen and Matt Lee Receive Pro Football Focus Honors

One of the biggest transformations for the Miami Hurricanes would be how the offensive line has transformed. In fact, it’s incredible how much better the offensive line has been in 2023 compared to the 2022 version.
The Transfer Portal has helped the transformation take place quickly. Matt Lee came over from UCF and Javion Cohen arrived from Alabama. Both players have been receiving applause for their play, and the 29-26 overtime win versus Virginia saw Cohen receive recognition that’s truly unique.
It’s Pro Football Focus having rated Cohen as its #1 offensive lineman for Week 9, and Lee at #3.
Miami’s offense rushed for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns, including Mark Fletcher, Jr. punching it in for the walk-off touchdown during overtime. As the game moved forward, Cohen and the offensive line made a bigger and bigger impact. It was great to see the big fellas get after it.
Even with the Canes having struggled for parts of the Virginia game, the offensive line was clutch in helping to get the win. Cohen was a major part of that process.
It’s also a prime reason why Cohen was named the top offensive lineman for Pro Football Focus this week.
