Oklahoma Transfer Jaden Davis Chooses The Hurricanes

Davis Returns Home To South Florida To Play For The Miami Hurricanes

With the Spring Game in the past and last minute roster additions occurring across the nation, Miami joins in and lands themselves some help on the outside.

Jaden Davis announced he'll be headed to Coral Gables to finish his collegiate career with the Miami Hurricanes.

A St. Thomas Aquinas alum, Davis was a four-star recruit in the 2019 recruiting class.

After four seasons in Norman, Davis decided to enter the transfer portal after Oklahoma had one of their worst seasons in recent memory.

Illinois was one of the teams in the running, but the opportunity to play at home appeared to be the choice for Davis.

Davis has started over 20 games for the Sooners, and has eight pass deflections and an interception in his career. Given his skill set, it's possible Davis could see a lot of use defending in the slot.

Davis joins the Hurricanes to help compete at a position of need, as the team saw the departures of Tyrique Stevenson and DJ Ivey via the NFL Draft this past week.

A cornerback room that features a mix of youth and veteran talent will receive a veteran in Davis. Luckily, the cornerback room has the backing of a great safety tandem in Kam Kinchens and James Williams behind.

Miami still has their name in the mix for some other transfer target, but Davis is the first to commit during the second period.
