Hurricanes Are Top Contenders For Multiple Miami Central Recruits

The Miami coaching staff is trying to keep top talent at home

MIAMI, Fla. - The Miami Hurricanes recruiting efforts were in full effect with today's South Florida Under Armour Camp.

The Canes have four 2025 verbal commitments and today gives credence to believe that number will climb sooner than later. Here are the recruiting nuggets from two of the best defensive line prospects in South Florida.

Former Canadian and Mobile, Ala. defensive tackle Floyd Boucard keeps moving further down South. He's now at Miami (Fla.) Central and what a frame this young man has.

On the hoof, I'd say 6-foot-1 or 6-foot-2, and he said he's 290 pounds. It's a well-built 290, that's for sure. He's also been a prospect the Canes have jumped on since he's been in Dade County.

"Coach (Joe) Salave'a, I've been talking to him and the head coach (Mario Cristobal). I (also) went over there for junior day. They've been treating me and my family well. I look forward to going back."

Miami is also working on his soon-to-be running mate at defensive tackle.

Fellow Miami (Fla.) Central defensive tackle Randy Adirika is very high on the Canes, going by the quotes he gave.

"My official visit to Miami is going to be June 21 to June 23." That's the one official he has set.

As for the competition, Louisville and Penn State are teams to watch, according to Adirika. He looks to be in good shape and he's now in the 280-pound range. Great attitude, too.

"Probably after the season," Adirika commented on his decision timeline. "Probably November or December."
