Miami Will Receive A Return Visit From In-State Recruit

Sunshine State prospect discusses his relationship with Miami and recruiting plans

The Miami Hurricanes are recruiting very well for the 2025 recruiting class.

From the class of 2025, offensive lineman Demetrius Campbell visited the Hurricanes last month. He already knows he wants to return for another visit.

The 6-foot-6, 300-pound standout from Orlando Christian Prep (Fla.) spoke with AllHurricanes on his visit to Miami, his future plans that include another visit to Coral Gables, and if he had any favorites currently in his recruitment.

"My visit to Miami was good last month," Campbell began. "I didn't get to stay for the whole thing. I actually had to leave about three-fourths of the way."

Even though Campbell had to leave during his visit, it left an impression on the Sunshine State offensive lineman.

"I really liked the facilities, the film room, indoor field and weight room."

With that being said, the three-star will have a busy spring as he plans to visit multiple schools.

"I plan on visiting Central Florida, Florida, Florida State, Rutgers, Miami, and Syracuse."

Several of those schools have offered him a scholarship including: Central Florida, Miami, and Rutgers.

The talented offensive lineman also had this to say in his recruitment.

"I have no favorites currently in my recruitment."

With the Hurricanes getting a return visit from the in-state recruit, it bodes well for them. It shows a true interest in the Hurricanes. Of note, Miami's offensive line coach, Alex Mirabal, is a good recruiter. It also helps Miami's cause that Mario Cristobal is a former offensive lineman as well.

Campbell's next visit to Coral Gables will be an important one.
