Michigan Is In The Game

It's official, Michigan, along with every other FBS program, is returning to the video game world.

As the summer approaches, more and more nuggets of information about the new EA Sports College Football game keep making their way to the public. Earlier today, it was announced that all 134 FBS teams will be in the game.

That obviously means that Michigan will be in the game and the team's official Twitter account joined in on the fun and excitement that is the return of one of the most legendary video games of all time.

Some other tidbits about the game have surfaced as well:

  • EA Sports is sending NIL contracts to more than 11,000 FBS football players in order to get their likenesses into the game. This movement makes for the largest NIL activation in history.
  • Each player will receive $600 and a free copy of the game.
  • EA Sports is going to offer additional ambassador contracts to premiere players to promote the game via social media.
  • Players can opt in via the Compass NIL app.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's coming. A formal, full release date and further details are planned for the month of May. In the past, the game was always released in July and that timeline still seems to make sense. We may be less than five months away from the return of the best game ever.
