Jim Harbaugh: JJ McCarthy Is A DAWG

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh praised his junior quarterback after another masterful performance on the road.

The Wolverines traveled to Minneapolis and beat the Gophers 52-10 in front of a capacity crowd in primetime and quarterback JJ McCarthy is a major reason why. The junior signal caller finished the night 14-of-20 for 219 yards with one touchdown through the air, along with two rushing touchdowns. In other words, the kid was ballin. Or, if you're Jim Harbaugh...

"It's like the young people say...he's a dawg," Harbaugh said with a big smile. "A disciplined athlete with grit. That really jumped out in my mind, watching him play. He's in total control when he's making plays. They look kind of wild, like he just doesn't care, like he's got no conscience, but he's really in total control."

Harbaugh went on to say that McCarthy is the best quarterback in the country among a crop of really, really good players. Harbaugh said he's really trying not to be biased, but that he and his team would take McCarthy over everyone. After a game like tonight, it's easy to understand why.
