Video & Analysis: Josh Uche Comments On Being Underdog At Penn State

Josh Uche had a great game against Illinois and hopes to stack up another against the Nittany Lions on Saturday.

Senior defensive end Josh Uche was asked how he felt about being an underdog for the road game against Penn State and he just smirked and gave an answer that, well….doesn’t exactly add up.

Brown's Breakdown

"Look, I’m not going to dog Uche for saying this, because I'm all for players playing a little ticked off and with a chip on their shoulder when applicable, but he couldn’t be more wrong with his quote.

"First off, Michigan is rarely the underdog. Since Jim Harbaugh arrived in Ann Arbor, he and the Wolverines have only been the underdog seven times. It's not specific to Uche or Harbaugh either. It's a trend that goes back a long way with Michigan. The Wolverines are, by a large margin, usually the favorite.

"Secondly, it doesn’t seem like Michigan loves being the underdog. The Wolverines are 0-7 as the underdog since Harbaugh was hired as head coach.

"So while Uche might personally use what he said for motivation, it wasn't exactly an accurate statement."

Can Michigan and Jim Harbaugh change the narrative this weekend against Penn State? How do you see that playing out if U-M wins? Comment below!!!
