Michigan Football Legend Aidan Hutchinson Sets Franchise Record With Detroit

The former No. 2 overall pick has certainly made his presence felt in the NFL over the last two seasons.

Although Detroit has dropped two of its last three regular season games, the Lions are still in first place in the NFL North Division at 9-4 overall. A big reason for that success has been the performance of defensive standout, Aidan Hutchinson. On Sunday, Hutchinson set a new franchise record by accumulating 16 sacks though two seasons - passing Tracy Scorggins (15.5) and Ezekiel Ansah (15.5).

Hutchinson also made NFL history earlier this season against the Bears, becoming the first player to produce 15.0 sacks and four interceptions through two career seasons.

Through 13 games, Hutchinson leads the Lions in sacks (5.5), forced fumbles (2), and fumble recoveries (2). He's also tied for third on the team with one interception.

The 9-4 Lions now have four regular season games remaining on the schedule, including two road games at Minnesota (6-6) and Dallas (9-3).
