Video & Analysis: Jim Harbaugh Talks Shea Patterson, Dominant Performance

Michigan absolutely dominated Michigan State to the tune of 44-10.

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh was understandably happy when speaking with the media after his Wolverines dismantled Michigan State, 44-10. Harbaugh couldn't say enough about senior quarterback Shea Patterson's career day and also launched into praises for just about every player who saw the field.

Brown's Breakdown

Patterson was unbelievable. This is the kind of Shea and offense I thought we'd see all year long and it was glorious. In my mind, speed in space always meant flare screens, bubble screens, zone reads, RPOs and lots of big plays, and that's exactly what we saw against Michigan State.

For the first time since Harbaugh took over at Michigan, the talent discrepancy between the two programs was glaringly obvious and it's because athletes were given the ball in space and on the edge, allowing them to put their skills on display. Gone were the days of running the ball into the teeth of a stout Michigan State defensive line. Instead, it was wide open, exciting and, most importantly, effective.
