Video & Analysis: Michigan Defensive Line Coach Shaun Nua Respects Notre Dame Offensive Line

Michigan's defensive line will have a tough test against Notre Dame's offensive line.

Michigan defensive line coach Shaun Nua has been opposite Notre Dame on the field many times so he's seen some very good offensive lines. This year's group of Irish linemen doesn't quite have the luster as some groups in the past, but they're still solid. Nua explained why they're so good and also touched on a reason why they get a boost that not ever team gets.

Brown's Breakdown

Across the offensive line starting at left tackle the Irish will trout out Liam Eichenberg, Aaron Banks, Jarrett Patterson, Tommy Kraemer and Robert Hainsey. All five held an offer from Michigan and just about all of them were recruited pretty seriously by the Wolverines. All but Patterson were four-star prospects coming out of high school and all had very solid options beyond Notre Dame and Michigan.

They haven't been dominant in 2019 but they've been good. Michigan's defensive line might be able to get through a few times and rattle Ian Book in Ann Arbor. That will be key in shaking up the balanced attack Notre Dame hopes to utilize.

How will Michigan's defensive line do against Notre Dame? What kind of production do you foresee? Comment below!!!
