Spartan Basketball Guard Gabe Brown Talks 2019-2020 Season

#1 Michigan State Spartan Basketball Guard Gabe Brown Talks 2019-2020 Season

Breslin Student Events Center

East Lansing, MI

The #1 team in America is right here in East Lansing and of course, we are talking about the Michigan State Spartans and their Hall of Fame head coach Tom Izzo.

Tom Izzo has had a lot to say about sophomore guard Gabe Brown, who the Spartans are counting on for a breakout season.  Izzo said of Brown earlier this week, "Gabe had a great game against LSU in the NCAA Tournament and has worked really hard over the summer. Probably spent more time in the gym than anybody since Shawn Respert. I say that I think last week he got 2,600 shots up -- or last week, he had 2,600 in four days. I think he's just a guy that lives in the gym, loves the gym, and is trying to improve his defense, and that will make a defense. He's really shot the ball well."

The Spartans kick off the season on October 29, in an exhibition contest against Albion and the season officially kicks off November 5 at 9:30 PM in New York. The Spartans will be taking on the Kentucky Wildcats in the Champions Classic. No doubt that the nation’s attention is already looking at the critical first game of the year heavyweight fight.

The above video is an interview we did with Brown earlier this week.  Take the time to enjoy it now.
