The #1 team in America happens to reside in the Big Ten. They also happen to reside in the state of Michigan. No, not in Ypsilanti, Mt. Pleasant, Kalamazoo or Ann Arbor. Instead, they’re right here in East Lansing and of course, we are talking about the Michigan State Spartans and their Hall of Fame head coach Tom Izzo.
The Spartans kick off the season on October 9, in an exhibition contest against Albion and the season officially kicks off November 5 at 9:30 PM in New York. The Spartans will be taking on the Kentucky Wildcats in the Champions Classic. No doubt that the nation’s attention is already looking at the critical first game of the year heavyweight fight.
For Xavier Tillman, his skyrocketing up the NBA draft boards hasn't changed the humble Spartan star. Married over the summer and expecting baby #2, Tillman is also on track to be an ACADEMIC All American besides all of his rightfully deserved on-court accolades.
He talks about his impact on some of the freshmen and of course, looks ahead to the Kentucky Wildcats. A game he is ready to jump out of the gym for now.
