MSU basketball team: “SIGNIFICANTLY TOUGHER!” They crush a far inferior IPFW 80-43!

That was a quote from former Indiana player and current head coach of IPFW Dane Fife. Is it real is this the best Christmas gift that I could imagine? Has Izzo ball returned: your wish is granted, MSU has gotten back to Izzo basketball, and you have to love it.

MSU didn’t bet IPFW last night, the destroyed them. They humiliated a team that had no business being on the same court. That is not a disrespectful statement it was simply a matter of fact. Without Raymar Morgan the clear front-runner so far for Big Ten freshman of the year, they saw thirteen players get playing time and nine score.Â

MSU heads to the Palace on Saturday to take on the Cougars of BYU. The Spartans 8-2 record and national ranking have a lot of people raising their expectation level and the Spartans are the ones guilty of that.

Last season Tom Izzo said at the end of the year what a lot of being wanted to hear when he boldly declared: “I don’t care what people say, I am promising you that next season we are going back to playing MSU tough basketball.” Izzo as always made a promise and he has kept it. To me, that is a great early Christmas present. Thanks Tom!
