Three up or down: the three Parts of the #4/5 Michigan State basketball that are trending up or down now.

  1. UP Jaren Jackson, Jr (3J) Another big week for the rookie Spartan big man. He won his 4th Big Ten Freshman of the week award. He averaged 14.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 4.7 blocks and shot 65% from the field. Per MSU, through 22 games this season, Jackson is averaging 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.4 blocks per game.
  2. UP Miles Bridges While he had double-digit points it was not his best scoring game. But again he doesn’t let a poor offensive performance stop him. He was 3 of 13 shooting, but he had nine rebounds and four assists. But he was Mr. Pressure when he made four free throws in the final eight seconds.
  3. UP The Spartans MSU (20-3, 8-2 Big Ten) and they are now #4 in the coaches poll and #5 in the AP. Despite all of the issues flying at the program, they won a monster game on the road that they wouldn’t have won earlier this year, or at any time last year.

EXTRA POINT: Spartans Learning How To Win

Great teams expect to win. With 52 seconds on the clock, the Spartans went out and made 11 of 12 foul shots. They are developing the heart of a champion.
