Wisconsin Badgers Coach Paul Chryst Post Blowout Win Over Michigan State

#8 Wisconsin Badgers Coach Paul Chryst After His Blowout Win Over the Michigan State Spartans Here In Madison

Camp Randall Stadium

Madison, WI

With opportunities to salvage its season dwindling, Michigan State visited No. 8 Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon, needing a major effort that could help change the outlook on the remainder of 2019 for the Spartans.

But instead, the Spartans turned in a second straight lackluster performance against one of the nation’s best as Wisconsin rolled to a 38-0 win on a day the Michigan State offense was thoroughly embarrassed by the top-ranked defense in the country in one of the worst losses in the Mark Dantonio era at Michigan State.

Chrys lead his Badgers masterfully.  Racking up 22 first downs, 22 rushing yards, 180 yards passing was an offensive masterpiece.  That is what Chryst does well.  But defensively his Badgers shut down the Spartans holding them to only seven first downs, 30 yards rushing and 119 yards passing.  Consider this, the Spartans leading rusher was LB Tyriq Thompson who ran for twenty yards to lead the Spartans.

For Chryst who nows keeps his Baders undefeated and marching towards the Big Ten championship game tilt with Ohio State, his national rise to prominence continues.
