Back in April Spartan Nation previewed Mentor (OH) 2019 offensive lineman Nick Samac after he picked up his offer from #5 Michigan State. Just one month later it paid off as he committed to Mark Dantonio and the Spartans for their ninth commitment for the 2019 campaign.

He told Spartan Nation then, “The number one thing that stood out to me was the coaches and how I interacted with them,” he said. “Coach Bollman and coach Staten are the first couple of coaches that I talked to and immediately, I grew a relationship with them and I knew that I could trust them with my success. It’s a great coaching staff, I talked to coach Dantonio a little bit and he just seems like a very wise coach and they know what they’re talking about. Another thing that stood out to me was the campus, it was beautiful.”

“Honestly, what I think they might like most about me, just my opinion, but maybe my size and how well I move,” he said. “I’m just saying this based off of what coaches have told me before. I do think I move pretty well for my size. What I need to get better at is growing my knowledge of the game and learning my offense better and know what to do more, just on the fly decisions and be wiser in the game.”
