LOOK: Michigan State Shows Off New Locker Rooms In Tom Izzo Football Building

The Spartan football team has moved in to their new game day residence just in time for fall camp...

We are less than a month from the start of Michigan State football season, and the Spartans kicked off fall camp with their first practice of the season this morning.

As players reported for camp earlier this week, they got to have a bit of fun moving in to their new game day locker rooms inside the newly constructed Tom Izzo Football Building. While the building is not yet completed, the Spartans will be able to utilize their locker rooms during the 2023 season.

We got our first look inside the new building in a video posted by Michigan State football's social media accounts on Wednesday, filmed by redshirt junior linebacker Darius Snow.

It's obvious that Michigan State has spared no expense with the new locker room, fit with leather seats, multiple compartments filled with equipment, cleats and shoes, and what looked like recovery and refreshment areas.

Michigan State also posted several photos capturing the reaction from the likes of Tom Izzo himself, former great Spartan tailback Javon Ringer, Nebraska transfer wide receiver Alante Brown, edge rushers Brandon Wright and Bai Jobe and athletic director Alan Haller.

Of course, we know there's no better recruiting tool than getting the job done on the field. With that being said, these new locker rooms, and the brand new Tom Izzo Football Building as a whole once it's completed, will be another tool for head coach Mel Tucker and his staff to use to attract more talent to East Lansing in the years to come.
