Miller to Take Part in U.S. World Junior Summer Showcase

EAST LANSING -- Michigan State sophomore defenseman Tommy Miller has been selected to compete in USA Hockey’s 2018 World Junior Summer Showcase, which will take place July 28 – August 4 in Kamloops, British Columbia. Miller is one of 42 players that will be auditioning for a spot on the U.S. National Junior Team that will take part in the 2019 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship, Dec. 26, 2018, through Jan. 5, 2019, in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia.

The week-long camp will include 11 international competitions between Canada, Finland, Sweden and the United States.

Miller tied for second among Spartan rookies and was second among MSU defensemen with 10 points (10a) in 2017-18. The 6-foot-2 Miller led all Big Ten freshmen and was 14th among all players in the league in blocked shots with 78. He played in all 36 games.
