Bullpen finally closes a game. Tigers reamain in first by 1/2 game!

Zach Miner pitched very well and the Tigers win game two in a big series with the Blue Jays. As usual the Tigers starting pitching was good and for the first time in the last 12 games, the bullpen looked fine.

Â
That still does not change the fact that this team cannot win the division with Todd Jones, as it’s closer. Led by Marcus Thames (I if Leyland can take him out of the lineup) the Tigers took care of business again getting a starter the run support necessary for the win.

Â
The Tigers maintain the ½ game lead over the White Sox and they again face the Blue Jays today in the final game of the three game series at 1:07 p.m. Nate Robertson takes the hill today. His record is 5-3 but it should be 8-1. He is suffering with the same consequences of last season when his teammates literally provided no run support.
