Spartan Nation 2018 Top Heisman CandidateList

  1. QB Trace McSorley Penn State If the Nittany Lions, led by McSorley can beat Ohio State at home on September 29, he is the clear front-runner.
  2. RB Jonathan Taylor Wisconsin He is going to get all of his yards. A true stud that not only plays football but loves it.
  3. RB Bryce Love Stanford He and Taylor are the top two RB’ in the mix. I give Taylor the edge, but only slightly.
  4. QB Tua Tagovailoa Alabama the best pure dual threat QB Saban has ever had. If the NICKTATOR allows his OC to be aggressive all season like he did in the national title game, he quickly jumps to 2nd on my list.
  5. RB Myles Gaskin Washington I love this back. I do not have him rated above Taylor or Love because of the way the schedule looks, I don’t think his head coach will keep him in games with a big lead.
  6. QB McKenzie Milton UCF Underrated team and lost his head coach. With that said, if he were on any power five team he would be higher on this list. MUCH HIGHER.
  7. WR David Sills West Virginia What a great player. Unfortunately for him, he is on a team that has no clue how to play defense. His stats are going to look like a video game, but will voters pay attention to a great player on a team not contending for even a conference title?
  8. QB Jake Browning Washington A NFL caliber QB on a team with a legit shot at a national title. I think he and Gaskin will wash each other out coming from the West coast, but he is an elite signal-caller.
  9. QB Will Grier West Virginia I also think that he and his teammate Sills will hurt one another and as stated above, unfortunately for him he is on a team that has no clue how to play defense. His stats are going to look like a video game, but will voters pay attention to a great player on a team not contending for even a conference title?
  10. QB Brian Lewerke Michigan State If the Spartan signal caller can lead MSU into Happy Valley on October 13, look for Lewerke to skyrocket up this list. That game is going to be an uphill fight no matter who the QB is and if Lewerke can deliver, look out not only for him, but the Spartans.
