Late yesterday's Washington Post, Dan Steinberg wrote an excellent article about Spartan and NFL star Kirk Cousins. In part he said:

That’s the Cousins I’ve been thinking about in recent days, as the deadline for signing Washington’s starter to a long-term extension has approached. If a deal doesn’t happen, the implication is clear: That Cousins still has more faith himself, and in his potential value, than does his team. That the Redskins may love Cousins and believe he’s the future, but that they need to see more than nine magnificent games before they commit tens of millions to a former backup.
