Tigers thump Rays with an easy win for Rogers.

The Tigers took care of business tonight at Comerica Park. Kenny Rogers pitched 8 great innings and the Tigers just crushed the Rays.

The Tigers improve their record to 42-23 and they maintain the best record in baseball and keep the lead in the AL central. The Tigers are now one win short of their entire total for the 2003 season. Almost 21,000 thousand went to the game tonight.

The Tigers face the Rays again on Wednesday at 7:05 and and Kenny Rogers got win number 199 for his career and he is 9-3 on the season. Jeremy Bonderman (6-4) pitches on Wednesday.
