Midseason NCAA Tournament Projections See Oregon State Hosting Regional

In this story:
Oregon State have cracked the top ten in the national rankings once again, thanks to a 22-6 start to the season.
With the season now halfway over, many national experts not only see Oregon State reaching the NCAA Tournament for an eighth consecutive season (remember, 2020 was cancelled), but hosting a regional at Goss Stadium once again.
If those predictions come to fruition, it will be the 14th time that Corvallis has hosted a Regional in the NCAA Baseball Tournament.

Beginning this season, the committee will rank the top 32 teams, not just the 16 regional hosts. Seeds 17-32 will be slotted into regionals based on that ranking: teams 29-32 will be paired with the top four national seeds, 25-28 with seeds 5-8, 21-24 with seeds 9-12 and 17-20 with seeds 13-16.
Baseball America
Baseball America projects the Beavers as the No. 8 overall seed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament. This projection also projects the Corvallis Regional to host the Cincinnati Bearcats, the UTSA Roadrunners, and the Portland Pilots.
D1Baseball.com
The staff at D1Baseball.com note the Beavers as the tournament's No. 9 overall seed and gives the Beavers a fascinating field in the Corvallis regional. This includes Arkansas, the Louisville Cardinals, and Portland. Oregon State played Louisville twice in Omaha last season, with the second game seeing the Cardinals eliminate the Beavers 7-6.
On3
Earlier this week, On3's Jonathan Wagner projected Oregon State as the No. 14 overall seed. Wagner's projections also put Arkansas, UC Santa Barbara, and California Baptist in the Corvallis regional alongside the Beavers. A reunion between OSU and Arkansas would certainly bring intrigue given the Beavers' victory over the Razorbacks to claim the 2018 national championship.
Oregon State are currently in action this weekend in Beaumont, Texas with a three-game series against Lamar University. They took game one of the series Thursday night in a 2-0 result.
