MLB Draft: Oregon State First Baseman Mason Guerra Selected By Atlanta Braves in Round 14

With the 431st overall selection in this week's MLB Draft, the Atlanta Braves selected Oregon State Beavers first baseman Mason Guerra in round 14.
The right-hander was the sixth of seven Beavers selected in this year's Draft. Before Guerra, second baseman Travis Bazzana (#1 overall, Cleveland Guardians), RHP Aiden May (#70 overall, Miami Marlins), RHP Jacob Kmatz (#157 overall, Tampa Bay Rays), and RHP Bridger Holmes (#202 overall, Los Angeles Angels) and shortstop Elijah Hainline, (#220 overall, Los Angeles Dodgers)
were all also selected prior to Guerra.
Guerra was an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention in each of the last two seasons. His career batting average at OSU comes to .289 with 138 hits, 23 home runs, and 118 RBIs.
A product of Beaverton and Westview High School, Guerra helped the Beavers to a record of 45-16 and a berth in the Super Regional round of the NCAA tournament this past season.
